An extension of our unique approach has been the recent introduction of a new style of ice cream we have named ‘Silk’.

 

Silk is a soft, smooth ice cream which directly from our batch freezer (the machine in the store which makes the ice cream) into our dipping cabinets.

 

Unlike our traditional hard serve ice cream, this product is never frozen down.

 

Our experience over the last year in our Manly Beach store is that Silk now commands an equal share of sales with premium hard serve ice cream.
