Royal Copenhagen Ice Cream Cone Company is a franchised business with 24 stores around the country selling top quality ice cream and associated products.

Royal Copenhagen Ice Cream distinguishes itself from other ice cream concepts by continuing to carry out its original mission statement of always providing every customer with the freshest product possible.

This is achieved by each of its stores making their own ice cream as needed and baking fresh waffle cones daily on the premises. There is no fresher ice cream or waffle cones than those sold in a Royal Copenhagen store.

Royal Copenhagen is a wholly owned Australian company.

The original theming of the concept was Danish and done so for a good reason. Mr Tom Wykoff, our chairman, started the company in 1983 with the introduction of the first shop on the Manly Corso.
The store was built around the Danish waffle cone maker which Mr Wykoff had seen at a US Convention and organized to bring out from Denmark. In conjunction with the cooker, he organized for a Danish ice cream expert to assist in the startup of a Danish themed ice cream store. Danish ice cream recipes and initial ingredients we also used.

The store was an instant and impressive success and although unintended, was the catalyst for expansion through a franchise system. Royal Copenhagen currently has 24 stores throughout Australia.

In 1997 our store designs and logos were changed to reflect a more contemporary look.

The new image has improved the impact of the outlets in shopping streets and centres, and has helped to bring on board new franchisees.
